Reset Your Home, Life & Mindset in 30 Days
Season resets aren't just about cleaning windows and putting away seasonal clothes, it's about clearing space for new growth in every area of your life. This 30-day reset is your invitation to create a home that supports you, systems that serve you, and habits that nourish you. This isn't about perfection, it's about progress and showing up consistently, celebrating small wins, and building a life that works more aligned with you.
Whether you're feeling overwhelmed by clutter, stuck in routines that no longer serve you, or simply ready to embrace the season's energy of renewal, this reset is designed to meet you where you are. Some days you'll conquer the world; other days you'll barely manage to make your bed. Both are okay. The magic happens in showing up, day after day, creating momentum that carries you forward.
Throughout this journey, you'll discover that transformation doesn't happen overnight, it builds through the small, consistent choices that add up to something beautiful. So grab your favorite notebook, make yourself a cup of tea, and let's begin. This spring, you're not just resetting your home, you're resetting your life.
How the EE 30-Day Reset Works
This isn't about perfection or marathon cleaning sessions. It's about small, consistent wins that add up to a completely refreshed home and mindset. Each day has one main focus with room to adapt based on your energy and time. Some days are lighter, some are more involved - that's intentional! You'll be amazed at how much you can accomplish when you give yourself permission to go at your own pace.
Keep up with our CEO's 30 Day Spring Reset on Instagram @raetaylorslife and share your own 30-day transformation, tagging @everythingefficiency, for the chance to win a Foundational Home or Life Systems ACI, completely free! (a $5,000 value!)

Week 1: Foundation & Declutter - Making The Space For Growth
Day 1 - Set Your Spring Intentions
Start by getting clear about what you want from this reset. Grab a notebook and journal about:
What areas of your home feel most overwhelming right now?
What does your ideal daily routine look like?
What's one habit you'd love to build this spring?
What makes you feel most at peace in your home?
Then take a gentle walk through your space with your phone, taking photos of areas that need attention. No pressure to fix anything today - just observe and gather inspiration.
Day 2 - Digital Declutter - Part 1
Your digital space affects your mental energy just like your physical space. Today:
Delete any and all apps you haven't opened in 3 months
Organize your phone home screen
Unsubscribe from 10 email lists you never read
Efficiency Tip: Sort your phones home screen by purpose: one screen for work, one for personal and social, one for education and continuous learning, etc.
Day 3 - Drawer by Drawer Refresh
Forget organizing the entire house at once, today we celebrate small wins. Organize the drawers in your home one by one and follow the steps below:
Empty it completely onto a surface
Wipe down the drawer
Sort into: keep, donate, throw away
Use affordable drawer organizers to create a system that actually works and stays organized
One of our favorite Drawer Organizers
Pro Tip: Set aside a donate box/corner at the beginning of the month, you'll be adding to it a lot over the next 27 days!
Day 4 - Mental Wellness Reset
Spring is about renewal from the inside out. Today:
Start, or restart, your meditation practice - even a 5 minute guided YouTube video counts
Write down 3 thoughts that hold you back and reframe them positively
Turn "I'm not good enough" into "I am exactly the person I need to be, to achieve the goals I set my mind to"
Light a candle and just breathe for 10 minutes
No screens for 1 hour before bed (at least for today). Enjoy a cup of tea and grab the book haven't even opened yet, and enjoy a good night's rest!
Day 5 - Kitchen Refresh, Light Version
The kitchen is the heart of the home, but we're not doing a total overhaul today. What we are doing is:
Empty, wipe down, and straighten up kitchen cabinets
Clean your coffee maker and/or tea station
Go through your fridge and get rid of anything expired
Need a bigger kitchen refresh? Our Everything Efficiency team can handle a complete kitchen refresh including reorganization, meal planning, and custom systems that work for your household, so you have the space to focus on other areas.
Day 6 - Air It Out
Fresh air does wonders for your space and your mood. Today we are going to:
Open all windows and let fresh air circulate for at least an hour
While they're open, wipe down high-touch surfaces
Clear clutter from highly visible surfaces (tv-stand, coffee table, kitchen counters, etc.)
Rotate the mattress you sleep on (and wash the sheets!)
Implementing this simple one hour routine once a week (aside from rotating the mattress), will make your home feel more refreshed, calm, and clear.
Day 7 - Rest & Reflect
You've accomplished a lot this week! Today is about integrating:
Do some light stretching or a gentle walk
Adjust your plans for next week based on what worked
Take a relaxing bath or shower and enjoy your progress!
Pro Tip: Pay attention to what you've loved throughout the week. Did journaling help free space in your mind? Was meditation more peaceful than you thought? Maybe try it out a few times next week.

Week 2: Home Systems & Structure
Day 8 - Paper Peace
Paper clutter sneaks up on all of us, today we tame it. By the end of today, you should have a clear paper system in place with designated spots for incoming mail and a process for handling it daily.:
Sort mail into: action, file, recycle, shred
File or shred everything from last month
Lastly, create a simple inbox/outbox system near where you enter for incoming papers
Efficiency Tip: EE can help you to set up a physical and digital document storage system for your most important documents. Fill out a our free consultation here.
Day 9 - Bathroom Bottoms
A clean bathroom feels like a spa day. You'll finish today with clean surfaces, organized essentials, and the satisfaction of transforming your bathroom into a peaceful sanctuary. Today:
Deep clean just the surfaces you use daily (toilet, sink, mirrors, counters)
Test all your products and toss anything empty or expired
Organize the rest into your (already organized) drawers
Advanced: Deep clean your shower and/or tub
Pro Tip: For a little extra peace, get a serving tray, add and a candle or poopourri, and a secondary light source in the bathroom.
Day 10 - Quick Home Check
Sometimes the little things make the biggest difference, and if you rent, today will be a breeze.
Check smoke detector batteries, and change them if needed
Test your Wi-Fi router, and reset if needed
Clean your refrigerator coils (they work better when clean!)
Remove your lint catch tray, give it a quick wash, let air dry
While air drying, vacuum the extra lint from around the lint catch tray area
Go around the house and note any small repairs that need attention
Choose the easiest, and do it
After completing these tasks, your home will be safer, more efficient, and you'll have a clear list of any maintenance items to address in the near future.
"Nobody can go back and start a new beginning, but anyone can start today and make a new ending." - Maria Robinson
Day 11 - Financial Flow
Getting your finances in order reduces mental clutter. Clean up your finances so you can spend more on what really matters to you. Today:
Review all your subscriptions and cancel what you don't use
Set up automatic bill payments for efficiency and consistency
Track your spending for today to become more aware
You'll end today with a clearer financial picture, fewer subscriptions draining your budget, and a system that helps you stay on track with your money goals.
Day 12 - Digital Organization - Part 2
Today we are continuing to clear our digital clutter. Today:
Log into your cloud storage and delete old and unnecessary items
Clean up social media accounts and unfollow accounts that don't serve you
Update your passwords and enable two-factor authentication
Backup your important photos (in your new cloud storage space)
With systems in place to protect your important files and maintain a healthy online presence, your digital life will feel more organized and secure. Want to do more? EE can help you to create systems that ensure you're using technology for what it is, a tool, rather than what it's more commonly become, entertainment.
Day 13 - Outdoor Space Ready
It's about time we get outside and get ready to start spending more time outside. Bring some spring to your outdoor areas:
Clean outdoor furniture and cushions
Sweep your porch or patio (or if you live in an apartment, clean the doorways in your home!)
Set up your outdoor seating area for relaxation and more importantly, connection
Plan what you'd like to plant or grow this season
Great for apartments: Microgreens and sprouts, leafy greens, cherry tomatoes, herbs, and more!
Your outdoor space will be refreshed and ready for spring enjoyment, with a clear plan for any gardening or planting projects you want to tackle.
Day 14 - System Check
As we are nearing halfway in our 30 day reset, take some time to review how your new systems are working:
Walk through your home and notice what feels good and what's working well
Note any areas that still feel chaotic or stressful
Celebrate the fact you've created routines that actually work for you
Today marks 2 weeks completed of the 30 Day Spring Reset! Having evaluated your systems and are (hopefully) feeling proud of the progress you've made in creating a home that supports your lifestyle, get ready to move into next week ready for health and wellness!

Week 3: Wellness Integration
Day 15 - Kitchen Prep
Make healthy eating easier by implementing a few easy low-pressure systems:
Go to the store and get 2-4 fruits and vegetables that you like (don't forget a dipping sauce!)
Chop, cut, slice and prep them in your preferred way
Store them in the first place that you look when you open the fridge
You'll finish today with a refrigerator full of ready to eat healthy options, making nutritious choices effortless throughout the week! If you like this routine, try
Day 16 - Move Your Body
Find joy in movement, today we are going to test out a few different ways to move our body, and choose to stick with the one we like the most:
Set up a workout space so it's ready to go when you are (or if you're tight on space, figure out where you can exercise with minimal set up)
Create or find a simple 20 minute fitness routine you can do at home (and actually do it)
Go for a walk in your neighborhood or in nature (best after a meal for digestion)
Pay attention to what kind of movement actually feels good to your body and was easiest to do, then stick with it. You don't have to start big, literally just one step at a time.
Day 17 - Sleep Sanctuary
Your bedroom should be the most peaceful space in your home. Today we are going to help it feel that way:
Make your bed with fresh, clean linens
Adjust your room temperature for better sleep (optimal around 65 degrees)
Remove electronics from your bedside table (replace with a book!)
Create a simple, small nighttime routine that relaxes you
Our CEO, Rae Taylor, loves to wind down with a nice cup of tea, a warm washcloth on the face to open the pores, a nighttime moisturizer, and a good book. She is currently reading Buy Yourself the F*cking Lilies, but most commonly recommends Financial Feminist, by Tori Dunlap.
Day 18 - Joyful Eating Setup
These aren't major changes, but they will help to make nourishing choices feel natural and enjoyable. Create an environment that supports healthy choices without restriction today:
Arrange your kitchen and fridge so that fruits and veggies are the first thing you see
Set up a "quick lunch station" with healthy options for busy days
Set up a sweet treat section for your favorite goodies, slightly more hidden
Designate a space for mindful eating away from screens (or make a choice have one screen free meal a day)
Pro Tip: Use refrigerator organizers! They help make grocery prep, organization, and healthy eating actually fun and easy. These are a few of our favorites: Egg Dispenser, Fruit & Vegetable Storage, Stackable Organizer Bins (for fridge & pantry), & of course, a few Lazy Susans.
Day 19 - Mental Health Tools
Build your own personal wellness toolkit to have systems in place to take care of yourself before the point of needing them:
Set up a journaling routine for emotional awareness (5 min in the morning & 5 min at night)
Create a list of things that help when you're stressed; keep it in an accessible location and add to it regularly. Incorporate these things into your life more regularly!
Schedule regular self-care time in your calendar, at least once a day take a minute for yourself
One of our favorite things to do for mental health is to find new things to do and check out in our area. Most of our team is in Boise, some of their favorites include going to the farmers market, supporting our local art shops (where you can create too), and going to the public library!
Day 20 - Connection Time
Relationships make human connection just that, human. Today, strengthen meaningful connections and create opportunities for deeper, more authentic relationships in your life:
Reach out to 3 people you've been meaning to reconnect with
Plan a coffee date or go to a happy hour with a friend
Practice deep listening with someone important to you
Express gratitude to someone who makes your life better
Building and maintaining relationships is sometimes an entire job as an adult, but small meaningful acts of care help strengthen that bond over time. Life would be a lot less complete without the people we have in our lives, show them they matter to you.
Day 21 - Integration & Celebration
We are rounding out the 3rd week, and we've accomplished a lot: We've created new habits, systems and routines, decluttered and reorganized, and so much more, and we aren't even done yet. Take it easy today:
Choose the health and wellness resets you want to stick with & plan how you'll choose to incorporate them into your current routines and lifestyle
Do gentle stretching or yoga
Review your home and notice how different it feels
Celebrate your wins (big and small!)
Feel proud of the systems you've tested and implemented thus far, 21 days of home and self improvement is a lot! You deserve a rest day.

Week 4: Deep Dive & Maintenance (Days 22-30)
Day 22 - Clothing & Closet Refresh
Transform your closet into a space that actually serves you. Your closet should feel like a boutique tailored specifically to you, making getting dressed each morning a joyful experience instead of a chore. To do that:
Go through your clothing one by one, keeping what makes you feel confident, comfortable and happy
Put clothes that no longer fit or bring you joy in the donation area we created earlier (donate any clothes you haven't worn in the past 3 years!)
Take out heavy winter items and store in vacuum sealed bags, creating an efficient seasonal rotation system
Organize by category (tops, bottoms, jackets, workwear, etc.)
Once you go complete today, your closet will feel accessible and easy to use (how it should be). Repeat the simple steps above when getting dressed in the morning starts to feel too cluttered and overwhelming. Other people say "dress for the job you want", we say, "dress for the life you want".
Day 23 - "Light" Cleaning
Today, create a space that truly supports how you live:
Clear any visual clutter you have on your most commonly used or viewed surfaces (sort into organize, donate, or sell) and wipe down
Dust blinds, wash curtains, and wipe down all accessible window sills
Wipe down light fixtures, light switches, and all lamps/secondary lights
A clean space helps clear the mind. Doing these little resets all throughout your home will give it a noticeable difference in how it feels when you come home, without being massive chores.
Day 24 - Meal Planning System
Meal systems don't just have to be meal prepping in advance, they can instead be prepping ingredients, having a go-to shopping list, or even designating one eat-out day a week. Creating a meal planning system custom to you is entirely flexible. Today:
Plan a week of balances meals that align with your preferences (bonus points if you choose meals with similar ingredients like tacos and burgers)
Create a go-to grocery list template you can reuse and add to when needed with the ingredients from your above meals
Figure out which of the above ingredients need prep, and make a list of what you need to prep for your planned meals (wash and chop: fruits and veggies; portion and freeze the meat; add expiration date labels to prepped foods)
Make a habit of prepping immediately after getting home from grocery shopping
Your kitchen will work with you to support healthy eating habits, making nutritious choices the easiest option throughout your week.
Day 25 - Digital Photo Day
Today we are taking a moment to make our space more personal. We are going to bring a little order back to your digital memories:
Go through your digital photos and favorite 5-10 different photos of good memories
While you're at it, delete unnecessary duplicates, irrelevant photos, and anything blurry or unuseable (aim for 100 photos)
Once you're done clearing your photos and finding your favorites, get them printed for free to put up around the house through Free Prints.
Pro Tip: Get frames that easily fit your free prints at the dollar store in your area, get cute magnets to put them on your fridge, or get a pinboard so you can have your memories, calendars, routines and more, all in one place!
"If you don't like something, change it. If you can't change it, change the system." - Rae Taylor's adaptation of Maya Angelou's quote
Day 26 - Home Maintenance Calendar
Your home will run smoothly with proactive care, preventing small issues from becoming expensive problems down the road. Prevent problems before they start:
Create a list of all maintenance and cleaning needed to be done around the home, items big and small
Separate into 4 seasonal categories based on how you like to operate
Space the items within each category out throughout the entire season
Set up reminders digitally and create a physical calendar to match
Pro Tip: Add your Home Maintenance Calendar to your pinboard from Day 25!
Day 27 - Personal Routine Optimization
Create personalized routines that align with your natural rhythms and support your wellbeing throughout the day. Today:
Review your current daily patterns, intentional and unintentional patterns, and identify energy highs and lows - this shows where your capacity is drained and where it grows
Design a morning and evening routine that supports your goals (tip: add what has made you feel refreshed and happy from this 30 Day Reset)
Build in flexibility for life's inevitable changes. This looks like showing yourself compassion, only having one to two main focuses for the day and being willing to push off the rest if necessary, or scheduling self care, relaxation, or tv time, it's up to you!)
For personalized routine analysis, fill out Everything Efficiency's Free Life Systems Consultation and let us know your interested in creating custom routines with strategies that will actually stick!
Day 28 - Digital Life Audit
Take control of your digital presence and habits:
Review your screen time and identify patterns that don't serve you
Create boundaries around technology use that support your mental health and wellbeing (don't feel great scrolling on social media? limit your time on the app and unfollow accounts that genuinely don't interest or support you)
Check digital subscriptions, unsubscribe from any you haven't used in the past 3-6 months
Create a list of activities you can do aside from using technology that you enjoy (then add to it regularly)
Having clear technological boundaries help you to use your digital tools to enhance your life rather that detract from it.
Day 29 - Garage/Storage Refresh
Your home will feel lighter and more appropriate for the season, with organized storage systems that make seasonal transitions effortless. Prepare your home for the changing season:
Create a system for storing seasonal items that works for your space (one of our favorites: Garage Tote Storage Rack)
Pack away heavy winter items in clearly labeled containers using easy Digital Labels
Bring out spring/summer essentials and organize them for easy access (use an easy Activity Storage Unit for easy access to encourage more everyday movement!)
Spending a few hours one day a season will help your storage spaces to be useable and flexible for real life.
Day 30 - Complete Home & Life Review
Celebrate your transformation and plan ahead:
Walk through your home and appreciate the changes you've made throughout the past 30 days
Note what systems worked best for you and what needs adjustment
Set intentions for your next seasonal reset
Take a minute to review the intentions you set on Day 1, do you feel like you accomplished your primary goals of this 30 Day Reset?
Today is the last day of the 30 Day Reset, leaving you feeling accomplished and clear on how to maintain your beautiful, functional home and how to live a balanced lifestyle, that's actually custom to what works for you, for the months ahead.

The Beginning of Something Beautiful
Take a moment to pause and reflect on how far you've come. This wasn't just about cleaning drawers and organizing closets, it was about creating space for the life you truly want to live. You've built systems that serve you instead of draining you, created environments that nourish you instead of overwhelming you, and established habits that support you instead of sabotaging you.
Remember that transformation isn't a destination, it's a journey. The new systems you've put in place, the clarity you've cultivated, and the momentum you've built are gifts that will continue to serve you long after this 30-day journey ends. Some days will be easier than others, and that's perfectly okay. The key is to show up for yourself in a way that feels true to you, just as you've done throughout this reset.
New seasons represent new beginnings, growth, and renewal. But those beautiful things don't happen by accident, they happen through intention, consistency, and care. You've invested that care in your home, your routines, and yourself. Now, as you step forward into this refreshed season, carry that same spirit of renewal with you.
Your 30 Day Reset may be ending, but your transformed life is just beginning. Here's to creating a home, and life, that not only works well, but also feels wonderful to live in - one small, intentional step at a time.
